David Hirsch is a healthcare finance executive with a passion for putting his professional experience to good use in the Portland Jewish community. He served for seven years on the Cedar Sinai Park Board, most of that time as Treasurer. Philanthropy and grant-making are particular areas of interest, and David previously served as co-chair of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation Giving Council and as a member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland’s Allocations Committee. Developing a strong group of community leaders who are rooted in Jewish knowledge and values is also a personal priority, and David was privileged to be a member of the recent Portland cohort of the Wexner Heritage Program. Originally from South Africa, David grew up in London. In 2016, David moved to Portland, where he met his wife, Hannah. They have two daughters, Ellie and Shoshanna. They enjoy running, hiking and camping in the Pacific Northwest forests, and visiting family in London and Pennsylvania.
