Dedicated to
carrying forward a
legacy of support
for elders in our
Jewish community
The Robison Foundation for Jewish Elders supports programs that impact the lives of seniors in the Greater Portland Jewish community.
The Robison Foundation for Jewish Elders (RFJE) is an independent nonprofit organization established from the legacy of Cedar Sinai Park. Following the sale of the Boundary Street campus in October 2024 to private owners, our organization transitioned from a facility operator to a strategic funder. Our expanded mission honors our legacy of 100+ years of service to fund programs and organizations meeting the needs of Jewish elders throughout the greater Portland community, wherever they call home.
Our Mission
To enhance the lives of elders in our Jewish community by supporting their social, spiritual and physical well-being.
Social networks for elders naturally shrink over time due to health or mobility changes. Elders face a quiet isolation where they lack the deep, reliable relationships needed for long-term support.
Elders and their families face a fragmented landscape that makes it difficult to know where to start or who to trust before a crisis occurs. The path to support is rarely clear, even with service available.
Elders lack services and equipment they need to live in comfort and health. Financial and health concerns may be barriers to seeking care.
Due to the evolving needs of our community’s elders, local Jewish organizations often face critical infrastructure gaps that limit their capacity to provide needed services.
